Relish
When I seen that you guys were looking for adoption stories I got excited and couldn’t wait to send one in. Our family lost our two ferrets last year, one in November and one on Christmas Day. The house felt empty. My mother had talked about getting a cat ever since the ferrets died.
So finally in April she started looking for a cat on the “feral felines” Facebook page and she was stuck between 2 cats. Smudge and relish. She seen that someone else was interested In Smudge so after thinking about it she finally settled on relish.
So on April 27th we drove to gander to pick the little guy up. He didn’t make a sound the whole trip home (2 hours of driving). When he got home relish hid away for that night and the next day. I got fed up waiting for him to come out so I took matters into my own hands and shook his treat bag until he came out. When he came out he was purring as soon as I started petting him. Ever since that day he hasn’t hid away from us. He has a very interesting personality and is still sometimes skittish but never hides away. Relish was the best decision we ever made.

Hey guys! Miss Kitty here to give you an update. Bet you hardly recognize me with my gorgeous fur all grown out! This photo really does me no justice.
I love my new home. At first I hid for two weeks because I was terrified of the little humans in the house. (They’re really loud and crazy sometimes) But I slowly learned to like them. The littlest human is actually my favorite now. I love the comfy blankets on his bed and snuggling while he scratches my head.
My mom is completely in love with me (but who can blame her, right?) She’s so happy she adopted me and thinks I’m the sweetest cat in the world (even though I like to mess up her paperwork and make a bed out of it) She even bought me some bling for my collar cause I am a total diva! And I get special treats!
I’m living the good life now thanks to all the wonderful volunteers who saved me. Thank you all.

When we first brought Will home all he would do was hide and hiss at us. He warmed up pretty fast and has become one spoiled kitty! His favourite thing to do is chase after his doggie brother, and pounce at him when he least expects it! He always loves to cuddle up in bed with us for the night, and loves to get scratches and attention. Will has quickly become the boss of the house, even the dog loves him to pieces and lets him have his own way! We are so happy we were able to give this kitten the second chance he deserves, thanks to FFRR!
